Craving 4 Cupcakes Takes over Ovando Floral & Event Design

POSHGLAM co-hosted an amazing event last night with Janine and Roya the creators and connoisseurs behind Craving 4 Cupcakes. The editors were thrilled and the pastry palettes were pleased by the Cupcakes and Perrier Jouet Champagne. We all gathered for the love of these wonderful delicacies and beautiful fleurs.

One of the favorite flavors was the raspberry and Perriet Joeut cupcake, it was delish to say the least. Ovando is a new floral design boutique on the Upper East Side. They offer a beautiful array of exotic flowers in fresh, creative arrangements.

Luxury Champagne Brunch, POSHGLAM Style, at Bistro Milano this past Sunday

POSHGLAM and FashInvest sponsored a tasty Luxury Brunch this past weekend. Italian-made handbag collection, Lena Erziak, co-hosted the brunch and had beautiful handbags on display. The goal of the get-together was to build organic relationships with online friends at polished Midtown New York restaurant, Bistro Milano, Sunday, August 8th, 2010. Brunch guests had an opportunity to mingle with others in the fashion community, dine and sip strawberry garnished mimosas, peach bellinis, or champagne (their choice) and meet sponsor David J. Freschman, Founder of FashInvest and Chairman of both FashInvest.com and POSHGLAM.com.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by Leona Erziak, one of the designers and owners of Lena Erziak. Leona represented herself and her sister, co-owner and designer Hasna Erziak. At the brunch, Erziak mentioned everyday women and vintage pieces inspired her Fall 2010 collection.

Fortunately for the handbag-lusting patrons of the event, Leona and Hasna didn’t let their guest go away empty handed. They gifted each adoring guest with a touch of classy gratis, and personally gave supple leather card holders and a luxury tassel key-chains as a fabulous parting gift and delightful taste of the brand’s finesse.

Ginger and Liz, a newly branded vegan nail lacquer, treated guests to mini-manicures. The Ginger and Liz team set up a table with lacquers in an array of unique colors and displayed their new fall collection in a wonderful assortment of hues. They even took the names of each guest to mail them a polish of their choice. Our guests were thrilled to get more gifts.

Sarah of Style it Online and her contributor Lesley were amongst the guests who indulged in a mani while sipping champagne with a strawberry garnish.

Sabina Les, designer and owner of Sabina Les printed scarves, also brunched with the POSHGLAM team. Les told POSHGLAM reporters the inspiration behind her line was “metal chains and hardware.” Les is making her Bloomingdale’s debut this fall and, according to her, it is “keeping her very busy.” As busy as she may be, we are eagerly awaiting her line.

Throughout the brunch, the room buzzed with conversations from both young and experienced entrepreneurs happy to make each other’s acquaintance on a summery Sunday afternoon.

The delicious brunch menu included salmon croquettes, espresso, French toast, custom omelettes, fruit, and hash browns with toppings. As guests dined, waiters passed out Mimosas and Belinnis. A tasty assortment of chocolate ganache, red velvet and vanilla cupcakes from Craving 4 Cupcakes were displayed. Adding a personal touch, the cupcakes were customized using the logos of POSHGLAM and FashInvest. Needless to say, it was a bit too easy to overindulge with the all the scrumptious food and drink on hand.

As guests left the restaurant, they were given one last thank-you gift—tote-bags from Siggi’s filled with gifts from Estee Lauder, Craving 4 Cupcakes, Lash Royalty, Leila Lou, Metromint and Siggi’s coupons for gourmet yogurt.

The event was photographed by Travis Levius.  Guests from Louis Vuitton, Elizabeth and James, Valentino, Essence, Bismarck Phillips, Vogue, Morgan Stanley and the former Creative Director for Baby Phat were all in attendance.
