Many women spend days on end wondering when their prince charming will show up and whisk them off of their feet. Can you identify? My advice to them is…don’t try to find love in others, plant seeds of love and allow people to find love in you. Life, after all, is more about seeding and less about reaping, learning to give away love the way you want to receive it.
“Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it’s what you are expected to give—which is everything.”
Cheerful lovers give and never have a problem with a lack of the right kind of love, takers in relationships can never get enough and end up feeling unfulfilled in and needy. Giving love comes in all shapes and forms: philanthropy, kind words, resilience, support, admiration…they all lead to the same road of of unconditional real love for another. The best relationships are a result of each person caring for the other so much that they find love in themselves by giving love and not receiving and when a relationship in balance there isn’t one partner feeling neglected or unloved. My advice to those looking for love (in all of the wrong places), is look deep within oneself and find that place where you want to give love to someone else, the way you would to a child, that is both loveable and needy, and provide that type of fulfilling love to someone else as a seed, with no expectations…my bet, is the odds of the universe will reciprocate and you inturn will feel love too. If you find your love in loving others and not receiving you will naturally have enough love to go around and never have to take from anyone esle…there will be an even exchange that is both mutual and beneficial to your life.
Instead of looking to find that special someone to complete you, be that special someone to find for completion. After all, everyone knows, you attract what you are…so whatever you want in a mate, you must first be yourself. The last thing you want is to spend your years waiting to receive instead of looking to give…sitting in the corner trying to figure out how to love.

Dear President Obama,
One in three women worldwide will be beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in their lives. They need important leaders like you to take action on their behalf. No one ever deserves to be beaten, raped, mutilated, or sold into sexual slavery. As a member of Amnesty International, I support laws such as the Tribal Law and Order Act, reintroduction & passage of legislation such as the International Violence Against Women Act, and ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, which will help stop this cycle of violence.
The time to act is now. I implore you to use your position to take a stand on this issue and end human rights abuse against women.
